I am unable to iMessage myself anymore? Texts to myself show up as green instead of blue

I used to be able to send photos and links to myself (my own phone number) for work to have them immediately sync with my laptop at home through iMessage. Now, whenever I send a message to myself it comes up as green text, whereas when I send messages through my laptop they send as blue.

Basically, without telling me WHY it's green because I know that means it's SMS, are there any SOLUTIONS to getting my iPhone to send MY OWN NUMBER texts using iMessage instead of SMS?

Thank you!

iPhone 12 mini, iOS 16

Why iMessage is sent as Green is explained below. Read below without any prejudice.

iMessage (Blue) -

  • iPhone to iPhone: requires internet (Either over WiFi or Cellular Service) as it is sent over internet protocol. Needs Activation on your device.
  • iPhone to Android: Not available

SMS/MMS (Green) -

  • iPhone to Android: does not require any internet it is sent over cellular voice protocol. Needs to be enabled by your Carrier for the SIM used by you.
  • iPhone to iPhone: When iMessage is not activated or the device is not connected to the internet either over cellular or WiFi

It will turn from Blue to Green if you have enabled "Send as SMS" and whenever your iPhone is not connected to the internet it is sent as SMS (green) to all iPhone users.
