Junk mail overload on icloud e-mails

When I first got My apple devices, I was assigned two apple cloud e-mails. I rarely if ever use them. I use another primary account and also gmail. I get maybe one or two junk mails a day from the other two accounts but in past year my daily junk mail download on ICloud e-mail daily is now up to 135 mails all at once in the morning and again at night ..at first it was 20 or 30 then 50 to 75..then 100 and today it was 135…I skim through them all .. None of them are real mail and 95% of them are junk I never moved from regular mail to junk mail. I hesitate to ask for different e-mail and now if I use cloud I “hide” my e-mail but some sites won’t accept that. These are for sites I would never visit, the junk mail is. Pornographic ads, political ads, many in Chinese at times, and it’s really bad. Can this be fixed without changing my cloud e-mail addresses which I assume is linked to the Apple ID I have had since 2013 when I first started buying Apple products. All devices: Mac, two ipad pros and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

iPad Pro, iPadOS 16

Hello tmgrl4,

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. Since spam doesn’t seem to be getting caught, the steps on this page of the Mail User Guide can help: Set up rules to filter email in Mail on iCloud.com - Apple Support

If you’re still getting too much spam after creating rules, please reach out to Apple Support to look into this issue further with you: Get Support

Kind regards.
