Hey there GloriaDMc,

Depending on your settings and what apps you use, it is possible for cellular data to be used in the background. To help isolate which app might be using the data, you can head into Settings > Cellular Data (Mobile Data). Here, you can see how much data is being used overall as well as how much data each individual app is using.

The Apple Support article Use cellular data on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support provides more details on using cellular data on your iPhone, including about the specific app data usage.

If you identify a specific app that is using significantly more data than the others, you can toggle the Cellular Data option off in the same menu discussed above. This will prevent the app from connecting to the internet while using the cellular network, and it will only be able to connect to the internet when your iPhone is connected to Wi-Fi. Or, if you no longer need or want the app, you can also delete it: Delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support.

Don't hesitate to respond back if you need further assistance.
