Why my iPhone goes to voicemail

You may have the Silence Unknown Callers setting turned on. This silences incoming calls from people that aren't in your contacts and that you haven't called before. They will still appear in the Recents section of the Phone app. To turn off this feature:

1. Open Settings
2. Tap on Phone
3. Turn off Silence Unknown Callers
