I use photo stream on my iPhone, iPad and Macbook. When I make a picture on my iPhone, I can see it in photo stream on my iPad and Macbook.
On my iPad, the photo will not upload into the library. However, on my Macbook, it is uploaded to the library. I don't want that. How can I prevent photos from being uploaded to my MacBook's library?

Please keep in mind that My Photo Stream and iCloud Photos will behave differently when set up independently. However, "If you turn on both My Photo Stream and iCloud Photos on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, photos that you take with that device upload to both iCloud Photos and My Photo Stream."

Thanks for you reply. I read the guidance but still have a question. I don't use iCloud Photo's on my devices, but do use My Photostream. I make pictures with my iPhone. These pictures show up in My Photostream on iPhone, iPad and Mac. These pictures are not automatically added to the library of my iPad, however these are added to the library of the Mac. How can I prevent this?
