I see. Gotcha!

Plug in and remove the headphone a few times. Have music playing why you perform this.

See this Google Search Query: mac headphone stuck site:discussions.apple.com. A boatload is mentioned for recommended things to try.

Ask Apple if they have a solution. If they do, please report back.

Good Find:

Internal speakers stuck in headphone mode - Apple Community. That's an ancient post (what I would consider one of my first). Did you try all that I mentioned on that post --lots is mentioned.

Do your part: If this is an ongoing issue, then apparently, it hasn't been reported enough for Apple to be made aware of it. So, do your part in this, by reporting it to Apple. Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know of what issues exist, and what but fixes to include in updates to come.

1. Go Here: Feedback - macOS - Apple
2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
3. Select: "Software/Firmware Update" for the "Feedback Area"
4. Comment: on when this all began, and how you have troubleshot it this far. Include the URL of this thread.
5. Proceed from there aw necessary

How exactly is is "stuck"? Can you not maneuver it in System Preferences?
