App store

Hey all. I recently moved from Ireland to Australia and I’ve been having trouble downloading apps from the Australian store. As you can see in the picture it won’t let me download them and tries to redirect me to the Irish store. Also when I’ve tried to update my region on Apple ID it won’t let me use the same card that I have in my wallet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Have you contact Revolut bank?

Not all credit & debit cards seem to work with App Store / iTunes Store, try a different one, or preferably a credit card.

Or see -> Add money to your Apple Account balance -> Add money to your Apple Account balance - Apple Support

See also -> App Store & iTunes gift card: Apple Gift Card - Apple (UK)

  • Add money to your Apple Account balance anytime, no gift card needed.

Get more help and assistant from Apple directly, see Contact Apple for support and service -> Contact Apple for support and service – Apple Support (UK)

There's a lot if things about payment methods that are not specified in Apple's documentation, particularly when it comes to ones involved in changing countries. One is that it seems to work best if the payment method is from the same country as where you now reside. All can find from Apple now about payment methods from other countries is: If your payment method is declined in the App Store or iTunes Store - Apple Support

"You might need to ask your financial institution to allow international purchases on your debit or credit card."

Thanks for your reply.

I don’t have anything in my apple account or any active subscriptions. The only problem I can see is maybe the payment option.

I have been using my debit card, Revolut, since I’ve been here and have had no problem and it’s in my wallet/Apple pay too so what I’m asking is if I can use that same card when setting up a new region?

In the picture included it says Apple Pay and most credit/debit cards will suffice but obviously it’s not working for me for some reason.
