iPhone XR wallpaper changes on its own = malware?

My wallpaper has been changing on its own to a low res image of Minnie Mouse. I don’t have this image in my photos to my knowledge so can’t figure out where it’s coming from.

I had a spate of changes a month or so ago and the issue has returned. Running Ios 16.2 but MAY also have happened under previous version not sure.

I can change it back by selecting a different wallpaper then switching back to my original so it’s just a minor inconvenience. My fear is it is some form of “malware”, any ideas how to stop it reoccurring or if this issue has other consequences?

With iOS 16 or later versions, managing lock screen and/or home screen wallpaper has changed completely.

Read these articles:--> Change the wallpaper on your iPhone and/or:--> Personalize your iPhone Lock Screen.

There have been many glitches about that, but now, using iOS 16.3 or later (now 16.3.1) problems have been solved.

Giulio

P.S. No, no worries about getting malware or virus on an iPhone, unless it is jailbroken.
