My 2019 macbook pro with Monterey 12.6.3 is suddenly not recognizing any of my external hard drives when I plug them in. My Imac is able to load them just fine.

Make sure you are using a USB-C passthrough hub to connect the drive.
Hubs without their own power source may not give enough power to read the drives. The built-in USB-C generally does not have enough power on its own.
Could be. Make sure Energy Saver is not set to put hard drives to sleep
Thank you. I have an adapter as well as a TB elongate. They were all working fine until recently. I’m thinking it’s a bug with the new OS Monterey 12.6
