QWERTY keyboard on Apple Watch Series 8 doesn't appear

Hi,

I just bought an Apple Watch Series 8 and the qwerty keyboard doesn't appear when I try to send a message (in any app). I tried everything - restarting the watch in every possible way, changing language to English on my iPhone and on my watch also, the type option is not there neither way. When I tap on the writing field, it automatically takes me to the choice of "drawing" or suggested answers, no keyboard anywhere.

Do you know if there's a solution to this problem?

I saw on the forum that several people had the same problem, but no one solved it.

Apple Watch Series 8, watchOS 9

I think that you are on the correct path changing the watch Settings to English.

Is the original language still active? It sounds like you can have it setup for more than one language.

Since enabling English, have you tried rebooting BOTH the watch AND the paired iPhone? Try that and see what happens.

If it still doesn't appear, try taking it down to English only and then another reboot of both devices if it doesn't show up right away.

Here's an article about messaging using the different input methods:

Yes, the number from settings is A2770, so for sure Series 8.

Screenshot from the message section below - no arrow :(

I tried changing the language of the watch/iPhone to English, but nothing changed.

Any other ideas what could help?

Are you positive that the watch is a Series 8 and not an SE 2nd Gen?

The Series 8 has the arrow and the keyboard.

The SE does not :-/

Using your watch, go into Settings, > General, > About and you will find a Model number.

Then you can use this link to help identify it:
