AirPods Pro & iPhone 14 voice isolation not working during calls WhatsApp

Hello,


I am experiencing for a few month an issue with WhatsApp calls and my AirPods Pro (paired with iPhone 14) where the voice isolation mode makes my voice intellegibile to the person on the other end of the call.

this issue did not took place with my previous model (11). I already updated various times the firmware of the phone and apps. No change.

We'd like to help rule out some other possible causes, along with confirming more details to better understand what's happening with your AirPods:


  1. You mentioned that this occurred a few months ago, but do you recall what you were doing on your iPhone right before it began?
  2. You also mentioned updating recently, but for your model, the latest version is iOS 16.3.1. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then Update your iPhone or iPad.
  3. We also recommend making sure that all apps are up to date: How to manually update apps on your Apple device
  4. You also mentioned that the issue didn't occur when you were using your AirPods in the past with an older iPhone model, but if you test the same AirPods now with a different device, does the same issue occur?
  5. Is this only occurring while using WhatsApp, or do other apps(like calls made through the Phone app) have an issue while using Active Noise Cancellation?
