Updated to iOS 16.3.1 - Phone Won't Connect to Cellular Data
Hey everybody,
Hoping I can get a hand with this. I updated my phone (iPhone 13 Pro Max) to iOS 16.3.1 today and now I cannot connect to cellular data. I have tried network reset, I have rebooted, I've toggled data on/off as well as airplane mode. Nothing works.
I've also called my carrier (Virgin Mobile in Toronto) and they have stated there is nothing on their end that should be causing this problem. They have escalated on their end but suggested that I reach out to the forums here / potentially go into the Apple store. Some quick notes:
-I last used mobile data around 12:30am last night.
-I cannot definitively say this issue happened after updating iOS. Being at home, I was connected to my home network. I noticed about 5 steps out my door that I had no connection as I went to check the streetcar times.
-While going through the usual troubleshooting notes with tech support at Virgin, they commented that I should have 5G, LTE and 3G options in my "Cellular Data Options" but I only see LTE and 3G. So, I appear to be missing options / not getting the best from my phone, here.
-My iPhone will either show me as connected to no mobile data networks or show 3G. In either case, any app I open will say I have no internet connection and won't work.
Anybody else experiencing this issue? Very frustrating.
