Setting up screen time on child’s phones

My wife and I recently upgraded to iPhone 14 pros and gave our kids our old iPhone 11’s. My wife is the organizer of Family Sharing and I am a Parent/guardian. None of the children are older than 13. She can edit their parental controls and see their screen times and I cannot. All devices are up to date running 16.3.1.

Family Sharing Screentime not working with ios 16 I am the Family Sharing organizer (mom). I have twin teens who have been using Screentime since getting their iPhones 5-6 yrs. With the ios 16 update, SCREENTIME WILL NOT WORK! I am beyond frustrated and irritated. The only way to get it to work is to do it "manually" on their phones... I am no longer able to use Family Sharing to communicate with their iPhones. This happened when I updated to ios 16. I noticed 1 phone stopped sharing ... had both of them update their phones to ios 16. Nothing works with screentime from MY phone ... I have done the following - updated everyone's phones to same ios removed all family members from Family Sharing logged out of iCloud on ALL devices logged back in to iCloud turned off all screentimes reinvited everyone to Family Sharing made sure everyone is sharing across devices etc, etc, etc Any additional suggestions?? They have strict phone policies at school ... I schedule devices during the day but can't when they are not next to me (have to change on their phone). HOWEVER ... if they are on Family Sharing and I use Screentime on THEIR phones, it messes with the passcode at times and NO ONE can get in. Have to go through steps of "Forgot Password" for Screentime. WHAT DID APPLE DO??!!! It was working just fine. Now I have teenagers with access to the world at all hours! Thanks!

Parental controls on iPad and iPhone of the same kid Can I separate screen time restrictions on an iPad and iPhone for my kids? Or do I need to set up 2 different apple IDs?

Managing screen time from my phone for a for 13 year old I'd like to be able to manage the screen time for my 13 year old from my phone the way I could when he was 12. As many have mentioned before, for some reason Apple seems to think that 13 year olds are adults and no longer need supervision. He's still listed under my family sharing, but when I click on his profile the only option I'm given is to remove him from the family. I was able to set limits using his phone directly, but I'd like to have the ability to over-ride those remotely if he's ever away from home (like at a sleepover where I'd give him more time). Also, when I did set it up directly from his phone, I was not given the option to select what contacts he could always text/call. That seems to be a major flaw,

Hi Emgag19,

It seems you're having trouble with Screen Time and Family Sharing.

Have your wire adjust Family Sharing such that you're not a Parent/Guardian and then turn it back on:

Manage Family Sharing settings

What about other Parent/Guardian settings? Do Ask to Buy requests arrive on your device?
