sanddisk imagemate pro is not recognized on my iMac

My SanDisk ImageMate Pro is not recognized by my iMac. It's USB-C connected and the power light is on on the reader device. I can't find the device in Finder. I'm running macOS Ventura 13.2.1. The iMac is a Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2017. I've got the external disks checked in finder settings. My Time_Machine_Backup external drive shows up on the desktop but not the SanDisk reader. The box lists it as being compatible with maxOS. Is the reader really compatible with macOS?

I have it working. I feel really silly. I had the CompactFlash disk in upside down! Not my most brilliant moment. :-(

🤣. I'm glad I'm not the only one to do that.

Were you able to see it with an earlier system?

Are you able to see the device in the System Information view, i.e. hold down the Option key, go to the  menu and select System Information from the menu. Then do to the UAB section and see if the device is recognized. If it's not then it's not being recognized on any level. There may be `a firmware update needed on the device.
