iPhone alarm muting ITSELF

My alarm will go off as scheduled, and it will be at the correct volume. Then, after about 5 seconds- it mutes itself without me touching *anything* at all. This is not good as several times this has nearly made me late for work. What’s causing it to mute itself? Also, volume buttons are set not to affect the alert volume, and alert volume is all the way up.

iPhone 11, iOS 16

Hi Kyle___123,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like your alarm volume might be reduced due to the Attention Aware feature. When this is enabled, If you're looking at your device, it will lower the volume sound of your alerts. You can see how to turn that off below:

If you don’t want to use these features, open the Settings app, tap Face ID & Passcode, then turn off Attention Aware Features.

See more about that here: Turn Attention Aware features on or off on your iPhone or iPad Pro - Apple Support

Thanks.
