I've updated my MacBook Air to Monterey 12.6.3. I have downloaded iTunes and am trying to install. Keeps telling me I need to have 10.11 or higher. Any ideas?

Hi,
iTunes is no longer compatible with MacOS Catalina or newer. Use new apps instead.

Jim, thanks for the quick reply. Ultimately, I am trying to transfer my music from my MacBook Air to my iPad Pro before it dies. Without joining Apple Music. My Mac is not recognizing my iPad in Finder so I went to iTunes as suggested by apple support. But, your answer tells me why that can't happen. Thanks, again!
In Finder > Preferences > Sidebar make sure you have a tick against CDs, DVDs and iOS Devices.
Reboot the iPad and unlock it before connecting to the computer, then trust the computer if/when prompted.

Unfortunately, my MacBook Air is not recognizing the iPad Pro... I've updated everything and tried your suggestion but it just isn't happening. Thanks
Have you tried a known good cable that works with another device?
Have you checked for lint in the docking port?
