Hey there ffernand717,

We see a similar error message explained in the link above your post, but if you've already tried those steps, we'd like to rule out some other possible causes. We'd also like to confirm more details to better understand what's happening:

  1. You mentioned that the message shows within GarageBand, but does it show as soon as it opens on your Mac?
  2. When did this start to first show on your Mac?
  3. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart. Check out the section ‘Restart your Mac' here: Shut down or restart your Mac
  4. We see you have macOS 12.6 installed, but the latest for that older OS version is macOS 12.6.3. You can verify this by clicking on the Apple logo at the top left corner of the screen, then on ‘About This Mac’. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then Update macOS on Mac.
  5. We also recommend making sure that all apps are up to date: How to manually update apps on your Apple device

Cheers!
