AirPod case is not charging

My AirPods only light up for a couple seconds while charging. I can only open the AirPod menu when the amber light is lit. Also, the AirPod case only charges for the couple seconds of hen the light goes away then it comes back after a few seconds infinitely dwindling the battery as well. I already tried resetting my AirPods and different chargers.
