Safari webpage "using significant energy" error on new M1 iMac

Why am I getting the error message in safari that "this webpage is using significant energy" on a new M1 iMac? I would think this computer can easily handle its own application, safari? (I see this when on ebay, Facebook, etc)

iMac, OS X 10.11

Hi HollyfromDE,

Certain apps and websites may require more resources than others. Although it's using more significant energy than other apps, you should still be able to run the content on your Mac. Here's a resource on how to check and manage your Macs activity: Activity Monitor User Guide for Mac - Apple Support

Take care.
