Hi community,
I just bought a new IPhone 12 via a eBay shop in Germany.
Surprisingly the battery was completely empty but even more surprisingly there was already a “Sprint” SIM card in the phone.
Is this possible or did the shop just sold me a refurbished iPhone as if it was new?

This is not possible, unless you have bought the iPhone with an active Carrier Subscription
I just checked “checkcoverage” at the Apple support site with my serial number and it says that this phone was sold today (I received it today) and is therefore in warranty until feb 2024. Is this a guaranty that the phone is completely new?
The shop where I bough the cellphone from told me to do so.
