I own an iPad and iPhone 4 and on both devices, I get the message "Youtube not available." when I try to log-in with my YouTube account in the native YouTube app. I can play videos perfectly, but just cannot log-in to access my favorites and other info.
I have tried changing my password and logging in with a different account but the result is the same. I am not entering the wrong ID and password as I can log-in perfectly fine in the Safari browser in both devices and on my Mac.
I am having the same issue. Actually thought it was me (I just brought home a new phone 4g and wasn't sure I synced right) so I placed my phone in "factory reset mode" because I couldn't find any one else with the same issue until now. I'm betting there is an issue and I reset for nothing. :/ It's taking forever to reset so I wanted to let you know you arnt the only one so don't take drastic measures. LOL
I have exactly the same problem. All were working well yesterday -now the Youtube App on my iPad and iPod Touch can't log into my youtube account. I can log on using Safari on both devices and on my Mac???
Same issue here. Started noticing it last night. It's constantly asking me to sign in whenever I try to access account based stuff in the more tab, or the my videos tab. While it will let me see my videos after I click through the youtube not available popup, I can't access my subscriptions.
Some kind of problem with the app to youtube service interface.
FWIW I made a youtube app using safari and it works fine. Actually works a bit better generally, so I'll just use that until this gets sorted out.
I've had the same issue since the latest Apple update. I can't sign in to Youtube using iPad's built-in Youtube program. I checked and I signed in ok on Youtube using safari on the iPad, so it must be a glitch in the iPad's built-in Youtube program.
I'm having the same problem. And The YouTube app was working great up until now.. I think because we're all getting it now, it's probably some Google server bs or sabotage or something.
