Mac Time Capsule Obsolete.

Hi all, my physical Time Capsule from Apple died after 13 years of flawless service. 2TB unit, was plugged into my NBN wireless router, would operate wirelessly so never had to think about it.

Was shocked to find that they no longer make these, nor can they recommend a replacement that works as seamlessly as this unit did.

Would anyone know whether there is an option available that works as well for a reasonable cost for home use in Australia?

Many thanks.

13 years puts that one in the 801.11n only category. You can readily find newer, 802.11ac models (the "tall" ones) available from aftermarket sources.

I know of no substitute product that works as well or as seamlessly as they did, but others are likely to have some suggestions regarding alternatives. Personally I think you're better off replacing it with a more recent genuine Apple AirPort Time Capsule. Despite having been discontinued about five years ago, they are not obsolete and remain fully supported.
