Horse riding / steps

Hi, a question for equestrians. When you record an Equestrian Workout, does the Apple Watch count the horses’ steps as your own steps? I know this was the case in the past so I was wondering whether Apple had already fixed this. Thanks very much.

So probably tens of thousands of people who knit are finding that their Apple watch will not count their steps accurately – ever. Can I stop watch counting arm movements as steps? Is there any way of changing things in the settings? I purchased this Apple Watch thinking GPS would record my steps more accurately. My Samsung watch was more accurate than this one.

Not counting steps While pushing a stroller my watch doesn’t count my steps. Is there a certain reason it does this?

I use an app called equilab, pretty sure it just rely on the gps

and depending on the lenght and speed it will calculate the work out
