Mac Mini, Ventura, M1. I keep getting a Systems Preference notice about Juuso Salonen running the background.
Can someone please tell me what that is, why I have it, and if should I get rid of it (and if so, how)?
I ran a deep scan (BitDefender) and nothing came up, and I read a file search and nothing came up.

Well, or someone else with access to your Mac did. It can't get there by itself.
It can be difficult to find the source. Normally extensions go in the /Library/Extensions folder. But they can also be within an app and launched at startup from there.
Download and run EtreCheck. When it finishes, copy and paste the report here. All personal information is automatically redacted. They're usually too long to paste into the editing window. Use the Additional text button for the report.
You installed software written to crack MD5 passwords.

One way or the other, it installed an extension.
And absolutely get BitDefender off of your Mac!
No problem at all. If you still want to figure out where this thing is, post an EtreCheck report. Then your fellow users can see what background processes and apps are running. From that, we should be able to figure out what's triggering the message.
I searched this "name" and apparently, it has to do with software (MD5) that accesses Keychain passwords. I don't use Keychain; and I still no idea where this came from.
I found MD5 on my Mac...(attached)...but if it's not doing any harm, should I just ignore it?

There are all kinds of files related to MD5 that are installed by the OS. They're all in the System folder, which no one but Apple can modify in any way. And neither can third party software.
In other words, "These aren't the droids you're looking for."
Since whatever this is doesn't come up as a virus and I don't see any interruption or other problems with my Mac (and since I don't use Keychain), I think I'll leave well enough alone -- you probably saved me a LOT of aggravation.
