I have symbol "remote modem" when using wifi at home. why?

Two of our family iphones have symbol "remote mode" (in the top right) when using wifi at home. They both have connection to the same network as other devices. At other devices all is ok and we have standard "wifi" symbol. Why this can happen?

It would be better if you can please re-post with a screenshot, in order to understand the phenomenon better. Images/pictures speak louder than words.
