Seems to me the screen if failing. So, rather than getting this serviced right away, save a few by troubleshooting the iPad’s power:

A. Back Screen:

If you already have a back up and don’t mind losing whatever is on your ipad you can do it through iCloud.com find my device or just the find my phone app. Click on the device, and then erase device. I’ll provide photos with the steps for how to do it on www.icloud.com you.
