Lost iPad found using Find My. Can police go get it?

I lost my iPad at an airport in Seattle. It's now at some apartments across the street according to the Find MY app. Can the police go get it?

iPad Pro, 12.9-inch, 6th Gen, Wi-Fi

You can certainly include that info in the police report.

As to whether that will constitute grounds for further immediate action (i.e. search warrant) is unknown.

Regardless. DON’T attempt recovery yourself !!!

It’s dangerous for trained law-enforcement professionals; and nothing for an amateur to even consider.
