Green line of death

Let me preface this by saying, no i didn't drop it or anything it simply appeared last night and will not go away. I have an iPhone XS Max, a very bright line through almost the very middle of my screen appeared yesterday. I have updated my phone, i have shut it down and turned it back on, i have erased my settings. All of my wifi passwords, GONE for nothing. At this point, im not sure what else i can do. The warranty on this phone has long since expired, im trying everything i can.

edit: also it does get brighter or darker when my brightness is adjusted, but even at the lowest brightness it is annoyingly bright. It is also thick enough to block a full letter, maybe one and a half if the fonts small enough.
