As rom.ph said, it is alright to use 3rd party charging cables as long as they are "Made for iPhone" (MFI) certified.

There are two types of non-Apple cables - one that are Made for iPhone (MFI) certified and the others that aren't. You are safe with the MFI-certified devices, but the others are risky, specially when they are from unfamiliar brand names.
depend on where you live, where I live non CE certified cables would not be legal to sell,
but at the end of the day a cable is some pins on a connector connected to some thin copper wires to the connector in the other end
