Hey, so my ipad is 9th generation. It recently started doing this thing where whenever it’s on but not in use, it charges fine, but when i’m using it, it goes down. I know it’s not the cord since it works fine on my phone, so is it a charger port thing?

If the battery is draining quickly, we should have a look at what your iPad says is draining the battery.

Try reinstalling the app you see causing the issue.

My wife has this same issue. It is a 9th Gen iPad which she bought right before the release of the 10th (so it is still under the initial coverage). It charges up fine, but the battery dissipates 70+% over night, even not being used.
The battery setting says that the app using the most power is the Home/Lock screen.
I have fully charged the battery, updated the iOS, shut off notifications, shut off background activity, turned on low power mode, set the auto-lock screen time to 5 minutes, and restarted.
I will let you all know tomorrow if there is any difference noticed.
5 days later and the battery is down to 59%… Just on standby.
I’m thinking this is standard… No?
