Wall mounting a iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012)

Hello,

I have an iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012)

I understand that the VESA is no longer sold by Apple, but I'm hoping I can find one online.

Can someone please tell me which are compatible? Or, what options I have for wall mounting my imac.

Can a vesa mount be used on an early 2008 iMac Hi, can anyone help please? I have an early 2008 20” iMac which I need to use to run an older piece of vinyl cutting equipment software. I have to use this iMac because the software will not run on any of my newer iMacs. I’ve had a bit of a studio reshuffle and where I want to site the 2008 iMac it would be really useful if I could have it on a flexible arm. I managed to obtain a visa mount adapter for iMacs but can’t seem to use the ‘card’ trick to release the stand in order to remove it and install the visa mount adapter? Can anyone tell me if (a) this is actually possible on a 2008 iMac, and (b) if it is, any suggestions as to how to go about it? Finally, if it’s not possible on a 2008 20” iMac, which of the early 21.5 inch iMacs can take a visa mount as I may be able to run my software on one of these if I can find one? However, I would prefer to use the current 2008 iMac if I can as it runs perfectly. Thanks In advance. Jon.

x2 iMac late 2013 running Catalina - How to use one as an extended screen to the other? Hi, Hoping someone can help me here. I have x2 iMac late 2013 running Catalina, I wanted to connect the two together using one as an extended screen to the other, I have a Thunderbolt cable between the two, but I still don't see an option for this. I have checked the 'System Info' 'System Report' and can see that on both iMac that the Thunderbolt entry in hardware shows an active connection - Device Connected, shows cable firmware as 1.0.16 and a valid serial number for the Apple Thunderbolt cable (which cost a small fortune!). Please, what am I missing? Thanks in advance.

The VESA mount option was only available as a custom order. Plus the stand is not removable on the year model.

At this point, your best option is to attach an iMount bracket to the stand.
