Messages App: Sending Transparency
A while back, Apple added this terrible feature to the Messages App that groups all messages with a single contact under the same “conversation.” If you have a contact that has an email, cell phone1, cellphone2, etc, there is no way to know where you are sending a message to. I always text my someone from my cell. One day, I messaged them from an email account. Because the email account is part of their contact info for me, all subsequent messages were sent to that email without anyone knowing. In fact, I was sending “text” messages to my Dad’s landline for weeks until I figured it out.
Why is there no transparency for where messages are going in the Messages app? The “recent” tag is NOT useful. It only tells you where the last message went and it is buried in a submenu. Nobody want to go there after every message just to see where it went.
