Emails disappeared - again!!!!

I've had this issue before and seems its raised its ugly head again. Today's emails have disappeared. I still have the notification saying I've received them (in Notifications) - but nothing.

I saw them on my iPhone, opened them, and later looked on my Mac for them as needed to deal with them. Nothing. Not on any of my devices - my phone, iPad or even on the iCloud.com website. They're not in my Junk or Bin folders or any other folder, and I have no Rules to delete them.

I'm sick of this and this must be the 3rd time this has happened and am now thinking of swapping from iCloud to a more stable platform.

Why does this happen and why hasn't this issue been sorted (seen threads from others on this going back years).

Hi there tipsycat,

If iCloud Mail isn't working as expected and your emails are missing, start by trying these suggestions to see if they resolve the issue for you:

Things to check first
1. Check the system status of iCloud Mail.
2. Check that you turned on iCloud Mail:
- On your Mac, open the Mail app then choose Mail >Preferences. Click Accounts, then select your iCloud account in the sidebar. Under Account Information, make sure that the account is turned on and the status is online.
- On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud and check that Mail is turned on.
3. Make sure you that haven't exceeded your iCloud storage limit. If you exceed your iCloud storage limit, learn how to make more space available in iCloud
4. Make sure that you're using the latest version of software on your device.

You'll find these steps here: If iCloud Mail isn't working - Apple Support

If your email is still missing after checking the items listed above, reaching out to Apple Support directly is the next best step. They're equipped to take a closer look at your account and provide some additional guidance. This link will help you get started: Contact - Official Apple Support

Take care.
