Mail app will not close or reduce screen when in full screen mode?

How do i get out of full screen mode in the mail app. The red, yellow & green buttons do not show or work?

If moving your mouse to the top of the screen does not reveal the menu.... you have options

The key short cut in the Mail.app is fn F

you can always force quit the app if necessary from the >Force Quit>Mail

When you go to relaunch the app hold the Shift key down.

Also from Mission Control if you (4 finger swipe up) move your mouse to the App the double arrow in the corner, drops it out of Full screen
