Images not loading in the mail app after updating my iPhone & iPad to the latest iOS releases

I get a little icon that takes me to a web page where the content resides as opposed to showing an image of what was included in the email in the past. Both devices are on v16.3.1.

In other threads on this issue with v 15 updates, the community has given instructions regarding going to security and allowing downloads. I don't have anything like that. I have also looked in the email apps themselves, but no joy.

All help is most appreciated.

Thanks,

Joe

Thanks for reaching out jr5289,

If you're seeing a link in place of an image, it may be how it was sent to you.

If you use iCloud for Mail, try checking the iCloud website to see whether the message contains a link or image there: Use iCloud Mail on iCloud.com

If you use another email provider, try signing into the web-mail for that account.

If you see a link on the web, that would indicate the issue is not related to the Mail app on your device.

Should you see an image when you check the message on the web, providing additional information may help members of the community provide additional relevant guidance. For example, do you see links instead of images in all of your email messages?

Cheers!
