Watch primevideo or netflix on 2012 MacBook Air

My OS X Yosemite 10.10.5. There are no available updates for it. I can no longer watch Netflix or Prime. What can I do?

Thank you for the answer. So I downloaded Catalina 10.15 which I think is the most recent I could get for Macbook air 2012. I still can't play Prime or Netflix and I also can no longer use MS Office as it requires an 11 version or above to update the apps. Anything I can do?

You are Welcome.

Yes macOS 10.15 Catalina is as far as this machine is allowed to go for upgrades.

To resolve the Prime / Netflix plus MS Office issue may require a new or newer Apple computer

May it be suggested as per below

If the user what's / needs the latest and greatest versions of macOS, all is not lost.

Explore the Apple Trade-In  Process where the Value of the exiting device could be used against the cost of a new Apple Computer, iPhone or iPad

Or Shop Refurbished Apple computers at an Apple Reduced Cost

Have used both previously and have been satisfied each time.

The Age of this computer will Govern what newer version of macOS it will Qualify to install.

Use " About this Mac " from the Apple Icon on Desktop - the required Information will be there.

With the above information in-hand - follow this How to get old versions of macOS and verify what version this computer Qualifies to install.  For Best results use Safari to commence the download as Others may not work.

Safari will open a redirect and open the Apple Store where the download can commence.

Does this computer appear as Listed and qualifying for an upGrade to a newer version of macOS?

The below links will help identify which version of macOS  this computer may Qualify to run.

Computer Qualifying for macOS 13 Ventura

Computer Qualify for the Monterey upgrade

macOS Big Sur 11 hardware requirements

macOS Catalina 10.15 hardware requirements

macOS Mojave 10.14 hardware requirements

macOS High Sierra 10.13 hardware requirements

macOS Sierra 10.12 hardware requirements

OS X El Capitan - Technical Specifications

Make Time Machine Backup  is very useful

Notation - Mojave is the Last version to support 32 bit applications / extensions and Drivers. Catalina, Big Sur, Monterey, Ventura supports only 64 bit and there is no workaround.

Suggest using Go64 to find 32 bit application before attempting the upGrade. Some or many of the Application already installed may require an update or upGrades to 64 Bit Version
