Maps on MacOS Ventura is huge - 39gb
Hi - I have a 2021 iMac with 256gb SD storage. It is full and when I look, using 'Clean my Mac' app, it is telling me that Maps is taking up 39gb of it! How can I reduce this?
iMac 24″, macOS 13.1

Quite the Maps app and relaunch it.
CleanMyMac is one of the worst offenders—known to cause issues on the macOS. Never recommended to use this app.
If your internal Storage is full, do some general house cleaning, All drives needed ~20% free sapace at all times to work efficiently
Thanks for the quick response. I've done house-cleaning. It's hard to figure out where the space is taken up - Clean My Mac breaks it down in more detail than I can find otherwise - but I take your reservations on board. I don't have that much stuff. A lot of files have got a cloud icon next to them. Does that mean it's simultaneously on the SSD as well as in iCloud, or just the latter?
