factory resetting an ipad

So I am using an old iPad I got and it is still logged into my friend's iCloud. I am trying to factory reset it but it is not working. how would I do that without her password?

You will need your friend's assistance. If she is not nearby, she can use the instructions in the "If you no longer have your iPhone or iPad" section of What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
