Will Apple TV 3rd generation update to tvOS 16.2
Want to watch MLS Season Pass on TV with Apple TV 3rd generation model a1469. Can’t make it work. Software is up to date but doesn’t show to which version.

This page Watch on Apple TV (4K, HD, and 3rd generation) - Apple Support indicates that you can watch it on a 3rd generation but also indicates you need 16.2 or later. See the following excerpt:
If you have Apple TV 4K, an Apple TV HD, or a third-generation Apple TV, you can find Apple TV+, MLS Season Pass, Apple TV channels, movies, and TV shows in the Apple TV app.

Note: MLS Season Pass requires tvOS 16.2 or later.
