I was using a Sonos speaker (Google) , and it was NOT recognized when I pulled down the control box. After I switched to the Pandora app it located the speaker which I then could use with Sirius XM.
First, check if your iPhone is connected to Bluetooth, go to:
Settings → Bluetooth. Look for your speaker and make sure it is connected.
If the speaker is connected, start some media - such as a Podcast or some music, then Swipe down to Control Center from the top right corner. Tap on the AirPlay symbol in the corner of the Player (top box on the right) and select your Bluetooth speaker on the list.
