dual sim card Vs eSim capability

will phones not sold in China that have dual sim capability be able to utilize dual sim cards or are they only configured to eSim?

No, only the ones sold in China, Hong Kong and Macau have dual sims.

The ones sold in America have no SIM card slots, they can use two eSIMs.

The ones sold in the rest of the world have one SIM card slot and one eSIM.
