Same Song Over and Over

macOS Big Sur - 11.7.4

I open a playlist in the Music app on the iMac and it doesn't matter whether I choose Play or Shuffle, the song repeats infinitely. What is wrong?

iMac 27″, macOS 11.7

Presumably you have single track repeat engaged. See Shuffle or repeat songs in Music on Mac - Apple Support.

Thanks Alan Turing - the link you provided was the answer to my dillemma. Why I couldn't come up with that on my own shall remain a mystery. At any rate, I do appreciate the help you provided.
