AirPod pro distortion

Hi,

I purchased a set of 2nd gen AirPods Pro’s 2 weeks ago. Now I am experiencing distortion in both AirPods today right after the latest iPhone update. I checked and paired them to 2 of my co-workers and they worked perfectly fine with their phones. I have a 13 pro max and this just started today. Any tips on what the cause could be? I hard resettled them, I restarted my phone, I cleaned them, and contacted Apple support and was told to go to my nearest Apple Store to get it checked out, but I just don’t have time for that right now. I got these 2 weeks ago and they’re already doing this is ridiculous.

You have taken some great steps already, must be disappointing as they are so new!


Wondering if you have the most up-to-date iOS version on the phone that you use with the AirPods (and whether your co-workers have the same version as you or not):


About iOS 16 Updates - Apple Support says iOS iOS 16.3.1 is the latest.


(Seems the firmware on AirPods can update from a paired iPhone with the latest iOS.)
