Is the 2012 Mac Mini obsolete?
I have a Mac Mini 2012 and recently I get a blank dialog box when trying to read Facebook Messenger messages. Any ideas? I have cleared history and still nothing. It just started happening this week. HELP!

Good news! You can upgrade to macOS Catalina 10.15. Get it here: How to download macOS - Apple Support.
Before installing, it’s a good idea to back up your Mac. While installing, avoid putting your Mac to sleep or closing its lid. Your Mac will restart, and it might show a progress bar or blank screen several times.

Facebook Messenger may now require a minimum browser, operating system, or security currency that the operating system on your 2012 Mac mini may not provide. Check with Meta about Facebook Messenger requirements.
Hi there!
What version of macOS are you using? You can find out by going to the Apple menu > About This Mac.

Thanks for your reply. I’m sure that’s it as the thing is ancient!!
You can install 10.14.
In my opinion this machine is far from obsolete. I was forced to upgrade 10 months ago due to the minimum version of Xcode that could upload apps requiring Mac OS11.
Thank you I will do that.
