Problems with Apple Pay on MacBook Air, impossible Double-Click prompt to action payment

Recently on my Macbook Air, with the latest Ventura, instead of getting the standard fingerprint image and 'Touch ID" prompt to make a transaction, I have been getting an image of a keyboard and "Double-Click Touch ID To Pay" which is impossible to do on a laptop with Touch ID on the power button. ANY IDEAS???

Apple Pay MacBook Pro double click to pay locks the computer I don't use Touch ID and I fight with this every time I try to use Apple Pay on my MacBook Pro. Whenever I use Apple Pay I get prompted to double click the Touch ID button to pay but it keeps locking my computer. I've tried doing it in different time intervals etc.. but it takes about 20 times of having to put my password in to unlock my computer before it finally works. Does anyone else have this problem or am I doing something wrong?

Apple Wallet / Apple Pay on Mac doesn't complete I have run an SMC update, but Apple Pay does not allow me to finish a transaction on my Mac Ventura 13.5.2 (22G91) in Safari. It works fine on my iPhone, but on the desktop it starts the thumbprint verification circle and then disappears. I can't complete a transaction. I have transactions allowed in Safari settings. Anyone have any ideas? This is a MacBook Pro 2020 intel.
