MacBook account locked

My MacBook account is locked after too many failed password attempts. I reset my Apple ID password on my iPhone 13 and waited 24 hours to try the new password on MacBook, but it says my account is still locked. How do I get back in?

It seems to me you did everything right.

First please make sure your Apple ID itself remains unlocked and available for use. To do that, log in with it here: https://appleid.apple.com

Assuming that you can do that without a problem, then proceed as described in If you forgot your Mac login password - Apple Support. Notwithstanding the fact that you know your login password, you may need to reset it anyway.

Hopefully that will be uneventful, but if necessary the next steps are described in If you can't reset your Mac login password.
