How often should I charge may MacBook Air 2020?

I don't use my MacBook very often but want it to have at least 30% if and when I need it. I left it for a month and it was totally out of juice.

Can i use my macbook air while on charging? I want to ask that can i use my macbook air while on charging even if its 100% and if i do that when should i have to discharge my macbook once in a week or once in a month?

Charge it whenever you need to do so or leave it plugged in
