I'm going to be traveling to a very remote section of the world. There is cellular service, however it's voice and SMS only. Is there a way I can use the voice function on my phone to access dial-up internet? I'll like to post my location and a few low-res pictures to Facebook. I realize the internet speeds would be slow and I'd be paying roaming charges.

Nowadays, Public Wi-Fi is offered for free, in big cities, shopping centers, in Public Transport (bus & train), airport, restaurants and others.
That depends on where you go.
If at the moment you are away from home and there is no Public Wi-Fi, you have to use Mobile Data, for sure go to -> Settings -> Mobile network -> Mobile Data -> ON.

Public Wifi will not be available where I'll be. That would be too simple. I'm going to try and order a sim-card prior to going there, but that only works in some locations. We're going to be on a few small islands in the Pacific, no where near any major city.
