iPhone (iOS 16.2) does not disconnect

After upgrading to iOS 16.2, when I want to disconnect the call and the ring goes to another phone, my iPhone does not disconnect. Until either the call is answered or the service provider disconnects the call after no response by the other end, the phone screen goes completely dark. As of December 2022, I've noticed this many, and it's very frustrating. Are there any settings that need to be done? Is it a bug in the latest 16.2?

The latest version of iOS is version 16.3.1. Let's try updating your iOS and see if it helps:


Update your iPhone or iPad


Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly

1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.
