New Iphone 14 plus - front camera not working

Just opened my new iphone 14 plus and the front camera isnt working, its a blank screen and i cant take photos although i can unlock my phone using face ID.

software is up to date and I’ve tried restarting

While the Face ID and motion sensor functions are operating flawlessly, the front camera is experiencing a malfunction. When attempting to set up Face ID, the camera displays a black screen. Additionally, if I launch the camera app, it automatically switches to the back camera. If I attempt to revert to the front camera, it reverts to the back camera once more. This behavior is peculiar, as I have never encountered such an issue during my extensive usage of iPhones. If anyone with knowledge of this problem could provide some guidance on how to resolve it would be greatly appreciated.

With a new phone I would take it back to an Apple Store or an authorized service provider and either get it fixed or replaced.
